After weeks of waiting, I’m happy to finally announce that we can now support 26.1.* maps! As I mentioned repeatedly in our Discord server, apologies for the wait, and I can now explain to you why it took so long.
Mainly, it was our server software. We heavily modify LeavesMC to make it perform better by trimming out the fat. Then, we add some extras and bake for 20 minutes test rigorously. When it passes the tests, we release it into the wild.
The problem we faced was our fork was taking a while to update, as LeavesMC is a small team that is doing all of the work for free, which we’re very grateful for. However, since we’re a decently sized website, with mapmakers that rely on us, we needed to update faster.
As we don’t want to leave all of you waiting for support in the future, we’ve decided as a team to switch to Paper, which we will modify instead of LeavesMC. This does mean some vanilla functions may be altered, but as long as you test your map before uploading on a Paper server (provided for free by hosts like Aternos), you’ll be in the clear.
